Gregory Family Pictures 2013

Just before we left for Colorado for Christmas we were finally able to squeeze in family pictures for 2013.  We literally had the pictures taken just hours before our flight left so we had a super busy day.  We went for a red and blue theme this year which I think turned out pretty cute!

Taking pictures was fun for about five minutes.  After that, Dawson decided he wasn't really interested in taking pictures.  Mostly, he just hates to be confined or held so you can imagine that our fun family picture session quickly turned into quite the chore.  We did the best we could but after about 30 minutes we had to call it quits.  Luckily our photographer only charged us for 30 minutes even though we had scheduled an hour of time.  Despite all of Dawson's antics, we got some great pictures.  Enjoy!

This is our favorite family picture from the session.

Cutest picture ever of Dave and Dawson!

With me, on the other hand, we can never get a good one of Dawson.  This was literally our best mommy and me picture.

Such a stud!  Yay Dawson!

Love you sweetheart!

Those are the good pictures we got in between the ones that follow...

Here's to many more years of family pictures!

Thanksgiving 2013

We spent Thanksgiving with just our little family of three this year.  We have a tradition of eating at Tucanos on Thanksgiving Day when we don't travel anywhere.  As usual, Tucanos never disappoints and we had a delicious meal.  Dawson also ate his fair share while we were there (he loves mashed potatoes).  We all left incredibly stuffed!

Here are some cute pictures from this Fall.

Love our Family!

Halloween 2013

I absolutely love Halloween!  It was extra fun to celebrate Halloween with a slightly older Dawson.  Last Halloween he was barely a week old!  We didn't participate in trick-or-treating on Halloween night but we attended our ward's Trunk-or-Treat.

We bought Dawson an adorable monkey costume.  He seriously looked so cute!

Dawson loved going around to all of the cars with Dave.  Now that he is walking he is loving the freedom and was happy to make the rounds at the Trunk-or-Treat.

I stayed with our car to pass out candy to all the little ones.

The holidays I love just get better now that I have Dawson to share them with!  Happy Halloween silly monkey!

Dawson's First Birthday!

October was extra exciting this year as we celebrated Dawson's birthday!  We celebrated one day early because I had SEP Conferences on his actual birthday.  Dave and I both took the day off of work to spend with our big boy.  We decided to take Dawson on his first zoo adventure!

It was a beautiful day at the Hogle Zoo with plenty of sunshine and hardly any people.  All the trees were beautiful as well with the red, yellow, and orange leaves.  I'm not sure how much Dawson enjoyed the zoo.  If the animals weren't moving, they didn't really catch Dawson's attention.  However, Dawson loves being outside and it was fun to have a family day.

Dawson was mostly interested in the plants and fences. :)

After a fun afternoon at the zoo we came home and helped Dawson open his birthday presents.  He is quite the spoiled boy!

Then it was time for cake.  I noticed that Macey's makes these cute little "baby cakes" and sells them for next to nothing.  I had to order one for Dawson and let him go at it!

After this mess we had to tag team clean-up.  Dave took the birthday boy straight to the tub and I took the high chair outside to hose it down.

We had such a great day!  It is hard to believe that an entire year has passed since Dawson was born.  Dawson has been a great blessing to our lives and we look forward to all of the milestones he will reach during this next year.
