During the summer Dawson and I took a vacation to Washington to see Alexa, Dan, and Will. We hadn't seen them in a long time. I really miss Alexa so I was excited to have a chance to visit!
Managing the airport on my own was a little tricky with all the luggage we had, but I made it through. Dawson also had a good time at the play area there too. Dawson did pretty good on the flights, but it is a bit exhausting to keep him entertained in such a small space.
The real fun began when we arrived. The first thing we did was go to a beach area with a lighthouse and lots of rocks to throw into the water.
Dawson did a great job climbing to the top!
The next day we went to Seattle. We went to Pikes Place Market and enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the food!
Here we have double trouble. We tried out Alexa's new stroller, but the boys weren't super cooperative.
The following day we took a ferry to Jetty Island. This was a neat beach area with lots of wet sand to play in and puddles to jump around in. Dawson had a great time running around and splashing in the water. This was probably my favorite thing that we did!
The next day we went to a children's museum. This was also a lot of fun! Will and Dawson went around from thing to thing, exploring and having a good time. There was so much to do there.
On our last full day we went to the zoo. We had a great time there as well, despite the fact that I only took one photo. (Note that we used separate strollers after learning our lesson the first day.)
Sadly, I didn't get a picture with Alexa but it was so good to see her. She showed me a fabulous time! We had lots of good food, yummy treats and drinks, good talks, and even a relaxing massage. It was sad to leave. The Larsens are a great family and I'm gald we could spend some time with them this summer!
