We had a great Thanksgiving weekend this year! On Wednesday night we went to the movies as a family and saw "The Good Dinosaur". We all had a good time and Dawson really like the movie.
Dave worked on Thursday but was home by mid afternoon. This year I cooked our Thanksgiving dinner. We normally like to go to Tucanos but decided to save our money for Black Friday shopping which we absolutely love. I cooked a ham instead of turkey because Dave said he preferred that. I also did green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, and pumpkin pie to go along with it.
Dawson loved using "fancy" dishes for our "fancy" dinner.
On Friday morning we drove up to Park City which is our favorite place for Black Friday shopping. We grabbed some doughnuts along the way and then headed up. The weather was cold but the roads were good. We went to Best Buy first and got quite a few Blu-Rays. Then we went to Wal-Mart and got even more Blu-Rays and few other things. After that we did some shopping at the outlet mall. Dave and I both got a few Christmas presents. We then went to McDonald's for lunch thinking Dawson could get some energy out but the McDonald's didn't have a play area (lame). By then we were done with Park City shopping, but made a few stops closer to home at other stores on our way back. We originally planned to put up the Christmas tree when we got home but we were too tired to do it so we just relaxed.
On Saturday morning though we put up the tree and Christmas decorations. Dave's grandma gave us a train, but it ended up not working and was missing some pieces so we put it away. Dawson had a good time helping us set everything up even if his help was a bit much.
We had a great Thanksgiving weekend! I love the holidays with my little family!
